Cortizo Windows in Vaughan — the value-led choice among European windows in Vaughan for custom builds and whole-home replacements where the window count runs high. Cortizo is a Spanish aluminum system, and its appeal comes down to arithmetic. Windows are priced by area, so a house with 40 or 50 openings feels every dollar of difference between brands. At about $110 to $190 per square foot installed (Toronto price guide, 2026), Cortizo sits below Schüco and Reynaers while keeping tilt-and-turn operation and offering a Passive House option. Opulence Architectural Systems supplies and installs the range as an authorized Cortizo dealer serving Vaughan from our North York showroom. This page sets out what that budget buys, which COR system fits which opening, and where we would tell you to spend more on another brand.

When to Stay With Cortizo and When to Step Up
Cortizo is not the answer to every opening, and our showroom carries Schüco and Reynaers too, so we have no reason to pretend otherwise. Stay with Cortizo when the priority is European operation and solid thermal values across a large number of windows. The thermal case for stepping up is narrower than many buyers expect: COR 80 Passivhaus reaches down to 0.8 W/(m²·K), the same figure we list for Schüco AWS 90.SI+. So step up for a specific reason. Security is the clearest one. The Cortizo systems we list are rated RC2, while AWS 75.SI+, AWS 90.SI+ and Reynaers MasterLine 8 and 10 are rated RC3. Choose Reynaers MasterLine 10 if your energy model needs a thermal value below 0.8, since it goes down to 0.7. Choose Schüco ASE 80 for a signature lift-and-slide door, at down to 0.87 and RC3 against down to 1.2 and RC2 for COR Vision Plus. Schüco FWS 50 and Reynaers ConceptFolding 77 fill real gaps, because the Cortizo range we carry has no curtain-wall or folding system. For a home backing onto a highway, AWS 75.SI+ carries a stated sound reduction of up to 48 dB; ask us to confirm the Cortizo glazing build before expecting the same result. Check the price overlap as well. A Cortizo order at the top of its range can land inside the Schüco and Reynaers ranges, so compare line items, not brand names.
Why the Numbers Favour Cortizo on Large Vaughan Homes
Two kinds of Vaughan project put price per square foot under the most pressure. One is the custom build with long runs of glass on several elevations, the sort of home found among the estate-style properties of northern Kleinburg. The other is the full replacement on an established house. Woodbridge grew outward through the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and Maple's subdivisions followed from 1993, so a house from those years may be due for a complete change of windows in one order. Here is an illustration only, not a quote. Take a house with 40 openings averaging 20 sq ft, or 800 sq ft of window. At the 2026 Toronto guide prices, Cortizo works out to about $88,000 to $152,000 installed, Reynaers about $112,000 to $192,000 or more, and Schüco about $120,000 to $200,000 or more. For the same window area, that is a gap of about $24,000 to $40,000 against Reynaers and $32,000 to $48,000 against Schüco. Your own figure depends on sizes, profile and glazing, and large sliding, folding or pivot doors sit outside it, typically starting in the mid five figures for a large opening. On a replacement, also check the room inside each window, because tilt-and-turn sashes swing inward and can meet blinds, drapery or furniture. There are projects where we would not start with European aluminum at all. If the frames are sound and only the sealed glass units have failed, new glass may be enough. If you expect to sell within a few years, a good North American window can be the better use of the money. We would rather tell you that at the first meeting than sell you a schedule you do not need.
