Who writes our content

Every guide, service page and product page on this site is written by the Opulence Architectural Systems team — the same people who specify, supply and install European windows and doors across the Greater Toronto Area.

Each piece is technically reviewed by our Technical Director, Omer Landau, who was factory-trained at Schüco, Reynaers and ROKA facilities in Europe and leads our installation crews. His name, the review, and the date of the last update appear at the top of every page.

Where our information comes from

Product specifications — thermal values (U-values), acoustic ratings, security classes, sightlines and configurations — come from the manufacturers’ own technical documentation for Schüco, Reynaers Aluminium, Secco Sistemi, Forster, Cortizo, Weather Shield and ROKA.

Energy-efficiency and regulatory guidance refers to Natural Resources Canada, ENERGY STAR® Canada and the Ontario Building Code. Practical advice on installation, condensation, maintenance and lifespan reflects what our crews see on real projects.

How we handle pricing

Price ranges in our guides are the installed ranges we quote for projects in the GTA at the time of writing. They are a budgeting guide, not a quote: final pricing depends on measurements, glazing, finishes and site conditions, and every project receives a written, line-item quote.

Brand neutrality

We are an authorized dealer for seven brands and the exclusive Canadian dealer for ROKA. Because we sell all of them, our comparisons aim to say plainly where each brand is the better fit — and where a simpler or less expensive option is the sensible choice. We do not accept payment for coverage of any product.

Keeping content current

We review our pages when products, pricing or regulations change, and at least once a year. The “Last updated” date on each page shows when it was last reviewed. Blog posts show both their original publication date and the date of their last substantive revision.
